Sherry (Miller) Boyd Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sherry (Miller) Boyd, age 69, of Scott Township, formerly of Station Heights, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Joan Miller. Much loved mother of Lisa (Dave) Legleitner and Melody Boyd (Brian) Bestic; survived by their father Kenneth R. Boyd and brother-in-law Michael Boyd. Cherished grandmother of Brian (Meaghan), Boyd, Darius, Brooklyn, Tori, and Bryce and proud great-grandmother of baby Brian. Mummie was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She loved her daughters more than life itself and made sure they knew that each and every day. She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandson and embraced every moment with them. She loved being a grandma and never missed a single important moment in their lives; something they will be able to cherish forever. She was so very proud of each and everyone of them. Sherry is also survived by loving companion, Merhle Nusz, who she loved taking walks on the beach with, enjoyed time at the local wineries and casinos, and spending time planting flowers in the yard. Sherry was a second mother to three very special ladies, Aliza (Mike), Kelly (Derek), and Christian (late Darko). She was the dear sister of Valerie, Starlene, Monte, Joseph (Marian), Sandra (Timothy), Deborah and adored by many family and friends. Sherry attended Peabody High School, earned her Associates Degree at Community College of Allegheny County in Computer Science, and became employed by Thermo Fisher Scientific where she worked for 36 years as a Software Developer. There are no words for how much she will be missed. She leaves a legacy of compassion, kindness and a smile that would brighten anyone's day. For those who loved her, remember she “Loved you more” .
