Nellie S. Saba

Nellie Saba, age 60, of Bellevue Borough, passed away in her home on Friday, October 23, 2020 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born March 5, 1960 in Ramallah, Palestine, she was the daughter of the late Mousa and Nabiha ( Issis) Shunnara of Harrisburg, PA. She married Shehab Saba on July 10, 1988. Originally from Harrisburg, PA, Nellie owned and operated Shab’s Mediterranean Grill & Pita Stroller in Harrisburg, PA for more than 25 years, until moving the business to Pittsburgh in 2016 to be closer to her children. Nellie was loved by all and always had an open door for those in need. Many of her customers became like family over the years. In addition to her parents, Nellie is preceded in death by her brother, Jamal and a sister, Salwa. She is survived by her husband, Shehab Saba; son, Anthony Saba (Ed); daughter, Nicole Saba (Matt); and son Andrew Saba of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the US, Palestine, and Lebanon. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 26th, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 985 Providence Boulevard, McCandless, PA 15237, with Fr. John Touloumes officiating. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral services at Holy Trinity from 12:15 pm until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
