Sister M. Norberta Kralosky O.S.F. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sister M. Norberta, 93, a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis, United States Province, in her 75th year of religious Profession, died on June 14, 2022, in Vincentian Home, Pittsburgh, Pa. Sister entered the community from St. Gabriel Archangel Parish in the Northside of Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1946 and professed her first vows in 1947 at Mount Assisi Convent Chapel in Pittsburgh, Pa. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Mount Mercy (Carlow University) and a Master of Arts degree in elementary education from Duquesne University. During her years of ministry Sister Norberta taught and was a principal in various elementary schools in the Pittsburgh and Greensburg dioceses and served as sacristan in many of these parishes. She later ministered as teacher and then director of several parish religious education programs. Sister was the principal of a parish preschool for a number of years and then worked as a manager in several senior high rises for Christian Housing Ministries. Since 2016, after doing community service at Mount Assisi, Sister has spent her remaining years as a faithful participant in prayer ministry. Sister Norberta was preceded in death by her parents, Anna (Szabo) and Andrew Kralosky, and her brothers, Frank Kralosky and Steve Kralosky, and sisters, Anne (Golen), Margaret (Suchy), and Mary (Kruly). She is survived by her religious community, her sister-in-law, Florence Hursen, and numerous nieces and nephews. The viewing and funeral on June 18 will be private.
