Janice Katterson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janice Katterson, 61, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at home on Sunday March 29, 2020. Beloved wife of Gary Lawson, faithful sister of Glen Katterson (Ann) and sister-in-law to Jeff Lubbert, Linda Folmer, Carl Lawson, Dwayne Lawson, Connie Lawson, Roberta Emerson, and Ed McDonald, and loving aunt to Rebecca Katterson Torbochkin (Leo), Candice Lubbert Beirnesser (Dave), and Jason Katterson, and many other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother and father Robert and Patricia Katterson, brother Bobby Katterson, sister Sandra Lubbert, sisters-in-law Vivian McDonald and Trudy Lawson, and nephew Timmy Katterson. Janice was a lover of nature, in particular animals, making sure her cats ate the very best – never going hungry! She loved all kinds of music and had a great sense of humor, bringing a smile to everyone. She cherished her family, always bringing cookies and cakes at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and enjoying family celebrations. She loved doting over her nieces and nephews, with a special knack to choose her great-nephews’ favorite toys! She is at peace and happy in heaven to be together again with her sister Sandy, with whom she had a special bond. Service and interment to be held privately due to the on-going health emergency, with a Celebration of Life service and Irish wake to be held later. People are free to visit the grave after 2:00 on April 6th at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
