Cornelius G. Van Maurik Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Saturday, February 5, 2022, Cornelius G. Van Maurik, a longtime resident of Ross Township, died at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Christel Van Maurik (Burkhardt); father of Cornelia (Ted) Zettle, Joanne (Richard) Bly, Peter (Karen) Van Maurik, Heidi (Guy) Parsons, Julie Swan, and the late Bruce (Kris) Van Maurik; brother of the late Lynn Van Maurik; also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; also, many nieces and nephews. Cor lived a full and well-traveled life. Meeting the love of his life in Germany while serving in the army. Together they made an impact on the German community in Pittsburgh. He became the longest serving president of the Teutonia Männerchor German Club from 1997-2011. Loving Father, Grandpap, and Great Grandpap, known for his quiet ways and quick wit. Friends received Friday 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, at the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue. Entombment will be private at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Ross Township.
