It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the passing of Anthony R. Mannella, 92, of Bellevue, PA. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 6, 2020 at UPMC Mercy. He was born on Sept 15, 1927 in Ateleta, Italy came to the U.S in 1937 and was raised in Bloomfield, PA. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the son of the late Pasquale Mannella and the late Maria (Pacella) Mannella; step-son of the late Maria (Colangelo) Mannella. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Mary (McCarthy) Mannella; sister, Maria Mannella; and Brother-In-Law, Richard Turak. Anthony is survived by his 4 children, Patricia (Thomas) Marshall of Norfolk, VA, Robert (Janet) Mannella of Avalon, PA, Annette (Edward) Flavin of Westminister, MD and Lorraine Ostronic of Avalon, PA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Melissa Marshall, Theresa (Shawn) Kopchiski, Christina (John) Wolbert, Jessica Flavin, Kimberly Flavin, George Ostronic, Anthony Ostronic, Jonathan Reinhardt; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother, Felix (Patricia) Mannella; two sisters, Esther (James) Guerriero and Laura Turak; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial will be private. Arrangements by Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Bellevue. You are invited to sign the online guest book.
